Retirement of IE 11

Authors list

Internet Explorer is officially being replaced with Microsoft Edge with IE mode on Windows 10. As a result, IE 11 will be going out of support and be retired on June 15, 2022, through a cumulative update. After this, when trying to access the IE app, you will be redirected to Microsoft Edge.

Autoform DM 7 is often used in IE due to its age.

IE Mode should continue to support all the following features if needed:

  • All document modes and enterprise modes

  • ActiveX controls (such as Java or Silverlight).

  • Browser Helper Objects

  • Internet Explorer settings and group policies that affect security zone settings and Protected Mode

  • F12 developer tools for IE, when launched with IEChooser

  • Microsoft Edge extensions (extensions that interact with the IE page content directly are not supported)

IE Mode should continue to enable users to run older versions of  Autoform DM on modern Windows installations where needed. Upgrading Autoform DM is highly recommended to maintain the latest support. More information on the IE retirement can be found here.
